You own your data
Twnship never claims ownership of your society's data. Export it any time, no questions asked.
Cancel any time
No lock-in. Cancel your subscription at any time and we'll export your data within 30 days.
Governed by Indian law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes are subject to courts in Mohali, Punjab.

01Acceptance of terms
By creating an account, clicking "I agree", or using any part of the Twnship platform, you ("Customer", "you") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy.
If you are accepting these Terms on behalf of an organisation — such as an RWA committee, housing society, or property management company — you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation, and "you" refers to that organisation.
If you do not agree, do not use Twnship.
02The service
Twnship provides a software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform for Indian housing societies, comprising:
- Twnship Platform — a web and mobile ERP for RWA committees covering maintenance billing, visitor management, complaints, staff, financials, and more
- Resident App — a free mobile app for residents to pay dues, raise complaints, approve visitors, and stay connected
- Staff App — a mobile app for maintenance workers to receive and close tasks
- GateKeeper App — a mobile app for security guards to log visitors and manage gate access
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature with reasonable notice. We will not make changes that materially reduce core functionality without prior notification.
03Free plan
Societies with 30 or fewer residential units may use Twnship at no cost, with no time limit and no credit card required. The Resident App is free for all residents regardless of society size or plan.
We reserve the right to adjust the free tier limit in the future. If we do, existing free societies will receive at least 90 days' notice before any change takes effect.
04Subscriptions & billing
- Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually in advance, in Indian Rupees (INR), exclusive of GST
- Annual subscriptions receive a discount as shown on the pricing page; the full annual amount is charged upfront
- Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before the renewal date
- Price changes will be communicated at least 30 days before taking effect; if you disagree, you may cancel before your next billing date
- Overdue invoices may result in suspension of access until payment is received
Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.
05Acceptable use
You agree to use Twnship only for lawful purposes. You must not:
- Resell, sublicense, or white-label the platform without prior written consent from Twnship
- Use the platform to process, store, or transmit data that violates any applicable law or third-party rights
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the platform, its systems, or other customers' data
- Use automated tools to scrape, extract, or abuse the platform in a way that degrades performance for others
- Impersonate another person, resident, or committee member within the platform
Violation of this section may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account.
06Data ownership & privacy
You own your data. All society data, resident data, financial records, and content you upload to Twnship remains your property. Twnship acts as a Data Processor under India's DPDPA 2023 and processes your data only on your documented instructions.
By using Twnship, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, process, and display your data solely for the purpose of providing the service.
On termination of your account, we will provide a full data export in a standard format (CSV/JSON) within 30 days of your request. After 90 days from termination, data will be permanently deleted except where legally required to be retained.

07Uptime & service levels
We target 99.5% monthly uptime for the Twnship Platform. We do not currently offer a formal SLA with financial credits, but we commit to:
- Communicating planned maintenance at least 24 hours in advance via email and in-app notice
- Providing status updates during incidents within 1 hour of detection
- Publishing post-incident reports for outages affecting core features for more than 30 minutes
The service is provided "as is." We do not guarantee that the platform will be error-free or uninterrupted at all times.
08Intellectual property
Twnship and its licensors own all rights to the platform, including software, design, trademarks, and documentation. These Terms do not transfer any ownership of Twnship's intellectual property to you.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works from any part of the platform without our express written permission.
If you provide feedback or suggestions about the platform, you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free right to use that feedback without restriction or compensation.
09Termination
By you: You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refund is issued for the remaining period unless covered by our Refund Policy.
By us: We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you breach these Terms, fail to pay, or if continuing to provide the service would expose us to legal liability. We will give reasonable notice where possible.
On termination, your right to use the platform ceases. We will make your data available for export for 30 days, after which it will be permanently deleted.
10Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law, Twnship's total liability for any claim arising under these Terms is limited to the fees you paid to Twnship in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Twnship is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of revenue, data, or goodwill, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death, personal injury, or fraud caused by our negligence.
11Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Twnship harmless from any claims, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the platform in violation of these Terms, your violation of any applicable law, or your infringement of any third-party rights.
12Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Mohali, Punjab, India.
Before initiating formal proceedings, both parties agree to attempt to resolve any dispute through good-faith negotiation for at least 30 days.
13Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes, we will notify you by email or in-app notice at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of Twnship after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree, you may cancel your account before the effective date.
